Just a few short months ago I was saying hello, and now it’s time for me to say goodbye and head back to school in the Big Easy. I have really enjoyed my time at LePoidevin Marketing, and am thankful to everyone here for this opportunity.
My goals this summer were to learn more about B2B marketing, receive hands-on experience with researching and writing, and to gain a better understanding as to how I might fit into the field of marketing upon my graduation.
I am happy to report that I accomplished all of those goals, and more. I was able to observe brainstorming sessions, do research for new and existing projects, and try my hand at writing releases – all with a little help and a lot of encouragement.
The two things I enjoyed most about being an intern were the forward-thinking approach taken to all projects, and the team-player attitude embodied by the office at large. Being here taught me about how marketing is an ever-changing process, with new media and trends evolving every day; and that often the newest media and the most effective media are not one in the same.
As I head into my last year of school as a marketing major, I’m excited to apply the real-world experience I’ve gained to my class work. I’ve really enjoyed my internship, and could not have worked with a better group of people!
