  • Cats walk for charity

When I was young, I used to try to get my cat to wear clothes, but she was never a runway spectacle. Now I don’t think I could get my cats to wear anything for a New York minute.

These cats are dressed for success, raising money for cat rescue and adoption. Animal Planet’s “Must Love Cats” recently featured the event on their show.

What a great way for cats to show their charm. I can hardly wait until the next show in August.

Here are some additional images from the event – also featured in the Gothamist.

  • Time to reconsider pet insurance

When I learned about pet insurance, I decided this was something I wanted to get for OJ, our 10-year old cat. • Go team!

I just finished up back-to-back focus group meetings in Toronto and New York City, and have two more coming up in San Francisco and London in the coming weeks. I love getting the chance to get in front of our clients’ audiences to get their firsthand insights into products and what’s important to them. This has been a fun and productive trip. (more…)

  • I’ll have the (un)usual

For the past 5+ years I have been meeting two of my good friends most Fridays for a Classic Milwaukee Breakfast at George Webb — a great start to the weekend as we all fuel up with copious amounts of caffeine and “smart” dialog. Sounds innocent enough, right? (more…)

  • Get organized for Pete’s sake

Our agency recently started a new relationship with a client. As part of the transition process, I now receive various calls from their ad reps inquiring about next steps and wanting to submit proposals for advertising opportunities. One such rep left a voicemail and I later returned his phone call. We had a nice conversation. He then sent me some materials via e-mail.

Now let’s fast forward to today. I get an e-mail from this rep. Here’s an excerpt, “I am going nuts trying to find the note I sent you probably late March, early April … Can you track it down?” (more…)
